FAQs

I'm interested in several locations. What should I do?

In our job postings, you’ll find the locations where we currently have openings for each position. When applying, please select all the locations you’re interested in. This will allow us to process your application as quickly as possible. If your preferred location isn’t listed, feel free to send us a speculative application.

What qualifications do I need to start working at Tiemann as an automotive mechatronics technician (m/f/d)?

To work as a journeyman in our workshops, you must have completed the relevant apprenticeship. Ideally, you should include your journeyman’s certificate with your application; we will then typically get back to you by the next business day at the latest.

What are the working hours like for an automotive mechatronics technician specializing in commercial vehicle technology (m/f/d)?

Generally, we operate on a 40-hour workweek with a slightly staggered two-shift system, which may vary slightly from location to location. Typically, the late shift starts about an hour later than the early shift, allowing us to maintain our opening hours as effectively as possible without requiring overtime. Occasional Saturday work is scheduled every two or three weeks, depending on the location, but is always compensated with a day off, ensuring that the weekly 40-hour workweek is not exceeded. Should overtime occur in individual cases, it is recorded in the overtime account and compensated accordingly.

What specific career opportunities are available to me as a commercial vehicle mechatronics technician (m/f/d)?

Thanks to our close partnership with MAN Truck & Bus, we can offer a variety of customized development opportunities in addition to numerous manufacturer-led training programs. It all comes down to your personal interests: How about targeted training to become an MAN bus expert or a high-voltage expert? Or perhaps you’d prefer to train to become a service advisor or a master automotive technician? Or what do you think about a career in parts management or sales? As you can see, we can offer you a wide range of options if you want to pursue a specific career path after your training—some of the career paths within our company are perfect examples.

What kind of financial prospects does the Tiemann Group offer me?

As part of our annual performance reviews, we adjust salaries annually based on your growing professional experience and demonstrated performance.
